Lewis Hamilton was left in shock as Isack Hadjar’s bold move during practice at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix caused a stir, with Hamilton accusing the Racing Bulls driver of performing a “brake test” on him. The Imola Grand Prix holds significant importance for both Ferrari and Racing Bulls as F1’s two Italian teams battle it out on the track.

The drama unfolded during the first practice session when Hadjar suddenly braked in front of Hamilton while the latter was in communication with his race engineer, Riccardo Adami. Hamilton, caught off guard by Hadjar’s maneuver, exclaimed, “Oh shit!” over the radio, expressing his frustration at being brake tested by the Racing Bulls driver.

While some may question Hadjar’s tactics, it is evident that he was trying to make way for a fast-approaching Red Bull driver on a hot lap. As Hadjar moved over to give the RB21 the racing line, he was forced to brake approaching the chicane, catching Hamilton off guard and leading to a tense moment on the track.

Despite the incident, Hamilton managed to finish FP1 with the fifth fastest time, showcasing his competitive spirit and drive for improvement. With Ferrari bringing in some minor updates for the SF-25, Hamilton remains focused on refining his performance and pushing himself to the limits.

In a candid moment with his race engineer, Hamilton hinted at areas where he could improve but kept his specific strategies under wraps. The seven-time world champion emphasized the importance of self-belief and continuous effort in overcoming challenges, expressing confidence in his ability to rise above the current setbacks.

As the Imola weekend kicked off, Hamilton’s determination to succeed with Ferrari shone through, highlighting his unwavering commitment to excellence. With a storied career marked by unprecedented success, Hamilton remains steadfast in his belief that better days lie ahead, urging patience and perseverance in the face of adversity.
