Ferrari F1 Boss Defends Lewis Hamilton Amidst Criticism

In a bold move, Ferrari Formula 1 boss Fred Vasseur has unleashed a fierce defense of star driver Lewis Hamilton against recent criticism. The seven-time world champion’s transition from Mercedes to Ferrari has been closely scrutinized, especially with his slow start at the Italian team. Vasseur vehemently refuted claims that Hamilton’s best days are behind him, citing the Briton’s exceptional performance in his final race with Mercedes where he charged from 16th to finish fourth.

Despite a lackluster beginning at Ferrari, Hamilton did secure his first sprint victory in China last month, only to face disqualification alongside teammate Charles Leclerc for breaching FIA regulations. Currently, Hamilton sits in eighth place in the drivers’ championship, with only 15 points to his name. With both Ferrari drivers underperforming, the pressure is mounting for them to turn their season around if they aim to contend for the championship title.

Ferrari, too, is facing an uphill battle in the constructors’ standings, trailing behind Mercedes and Red Bull. The team had high hopes for this season after a close fight in 2024, but they have failed to make a significant impact so far. As the Bahrain Grand Prix approaches, Ferrari is desperately seeking a resurgence to challenge their dominant rivals.

The Formula 1 world is abuzz with anticipation as Hamilton and Ferrari strive to silence their critics and reignite their championship aspirations. With the season heating up, all eyes are on the legendary driver and the iconic team to see if they can defy the odds and emerge victorious in the fierce competition ahead.
