Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari Era Begins: “I don’t do anything by halves”

VIDEO – Lewis Hamilton Reflects on “One of the Best Feelings” of His Life After First Ferrari Test

For 18 years, Lewis Hamilton has redefined what it means to be a Formula 1 driver. 105 Grand Prix victories. 104 pole positions. Seven world titles. His dominance has been unmatched, his name etched into the sport’s history books.

Yet, as he prepares for his Ferrari debut at the 2025 Australian Grand Prix, Hamilton’s hunger remains insatiable. An eighth championship beckons, and in his words, he is “more driven than ever”.

A New Chapter: The Ferrari Dream Becomes Reality

Last week, Hamilton finally turned a wheel in a Ferrari F1 car for the first time at Fiorano, and the experience was nothing short of surreal.

“One of the best feelings of my life,” he admitted.

That statement carries weight. This is a man who has raced the greatest cars in Formula 1 history, battled generational rivals, and stood atop the sport for nearly two decades. Yet, pulling out of the Fiorano garage in Ferrari red felt different.

It wasn’t just a test—it was a statement of intent.

Beyond the Track: Hamilton’s Vision for Success and Fulfillment

At 40 years old, Hamilton is more than just an athlete—he is a global icon, entrepreneur, and visionary. His brand partnerships, business ventures, and activism have cemented him as one of the most marketable athletes of all time.

In a recent LinkedIn Q&A, Hamilton shared insights on career growth, personal development, and the mindset that fuels his success.

1. Passion Over Expectations

When asked what advice he would give young professionals, Hamilton stressed the importance of personal fulfillment over external pressures.

“Everyone is different, so you can really only be guided by what works for you,” he said.

“As long as you follow your passions, find a challenge that makes sense for your life and that works with your skills, you’ll be fine. Don’t measure a ‘good’ job or success based on what you think you should do. Look for something that will leave you fulfilled and leading the life you want to live.”

2. Prioritizing What Matters

Hamilton’s business empire includes ALMAVE, his non-alcoholic distilled agave spirit, and collaborations with luxury brands like Dior. But for him, success isn’t about spreading himself too thin—it’s about making every move count.

“Before you add anything else to your plate, you should first make sure you have the bandwidth and the hunger to really explore something new,” Hamilton explained.

“If I take on a new project, then I need to know I’m going to be able to commit to making it a success. I don’t do anything by halves and give everything as much of my time and energy as I can. But I only have so much time away from the track, so I choose partners and projects that really align with my values.”

3. How Business and Racing Fuel Each Other

Hamilton believes his off-track ventures have sharpened his skills as a competitor.

“No matter what skills you pick up, you learn so much from just trying something new,” he said.

“I’ve been in my sport for so long that it would be easy to get stuck in old habits or stay in my comfort zone. Taking on new ventures forces me to be uncomfortable, but it’s such a great opportunity to push yourself and learn.”

“When I get behind the wheel after some time away, that new perspective comes with me and drives me to better myself every race. I wouldn’t be the driver I am today without the work I’ve done away from the track.”

Still I Rise: Hamilton’s Unfinished Business

Now, Hamilton’s focus is razor-sharp. His Ferrari chapter isn’t just about making history with an eighth world title—it’s about proving that he can still evolve, still fight, still win.

The 2025 Australian Grand Prix marks the beginning of what could be his most defining season yet. And if history has taught us anything, it’s that Lewis Hamilton never stops chasing greatness.
