Lewis Hamilton Faces Age Criticism in F1 by Former Ferrari Driver

In a shocking turn of events, former Ferrari driver Rene Arnoux has launched a scathing attack on seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, labeling his age as a “handicap” to his Formula 1 performance. Despite a stellar career, Hamilton has been struggling in his debut season with Ferrari, failing to secure a podium finish in the iconic red car.

Arnoux’s criticism comes as Hamilton sits in a disappointing sixth place in the F1 drivers’ standings, a staggering 25 points behind his teammate Charles Leclerc. The young Monegasque driver has been showcasing impressive skills, claiming podium finishes in Saudi Arabia, Monaco, and Spain, outshining the seasoned Hamilton on multiple occasions.

According to Arnoux, Leclerc’s ability to push past challenges and display unwavering determination sets him apart from Hamilton. The former Ferrari driver praised Leclerc’s relentless drive, stating, “Leclerc always drives past the problems, he even spits blood to go fast.” Arnoux commended Leclerc’s performance in Monaco, where he tactically pressured his competitors, including Hamilton, showcasing his exceptional racing prowess.

Despite Hamilton’s dedication and hard work, Arnoux believes that age is a significant hindrance to the British driver’s performance. At 40 years old, Arnoux claims that Hamilton’s age makes it incredibly challenging for him to meet the physical demands of modern F1 cars. The former Ferrari driver emphasized that Hamilton would require a significantly faster car than his competitors to stay competitive, a feat that seems unattainable at the moment.

As the F1 season progresses, all eyes are on Hamilton as he navigates the challenges posed by both his rivals on the track and the limitations highlighted by Arnoux. Will Hamilton defy the odds and prove his critics wrong, or will his age ultimately become an insurmountable obstacle in his quest for F1 glory? The stage is set for a fierce battle on and off the track as the debate around Hamilton’s age rages on in the high-speed world of Formula 1.
