Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time world champion, faced a humiliating setback during the sprint qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix. Hamilton’s spin at the final corner dashed his hopes, resulting in an early exit from the session and a disappointing 18th starting position for Saturday’s race.

Despite speculations of a technical fault causing the spin, Hamilton took full responsibility for the incident. In a somber 47-second interview with Sky Sports F1, he admitted that it was the first time such an event occurred in his illustrious career. The frustration was palpable as Hamilton bluntly described the handling of his SF-25 car as “not great,” showing his disappointment with the team’s performance.

This latest mishap adds to Hamilton’s string of disappointments since joining Ferrari earlier this year. While his teammate Charles Leclerc has clinched multiple podium finishes, Hamilton is yet to secure a spot on the podium with his new team. The lackluster results and Hamilton’s negative demeanor in interviews hint at a challenging transition from his dominant years at Mercedes to the struggling Ferrari team.

The anticipation around Ferrari’s upgrades for the Spa race was met with Hamilton’s underwhelming performance, raising doubts about his ability to adapt to the new car. As he gears up for Saturday’s sprint, Hamilton remains hopeful for a better outcome but acknowledges the uphill battle he faces.

Stay tuned as the drama unfolds at the Belgian Grand Prix, with Hamilton’s unexpected struggles taking center stage amidst the fierce competition on the track.
