Lewis Hamilton’s Struggles Exposed: Data Unveils Surprising Weakness Against Charles Leclerc

In a shocking turn of events, data analysis has uncovered a significant area where Lewis Hamilton is lagging behind his rival, Charles Leclerc. The seven-time Formula 1 champion’s woes have been laid bare, raising questions about his ability to keep up with the fierce competition in the current season.

Hamilton, who made a bold move to Ferrari after a long stint with Mercedes, is facing an uphill battle to find his footing in the driver standings. Despite his impressive track record, the 40-year-old finds himself in seventh place with 41 points after six races, a far cry from his usual dominance on the circuit.

The British racing icon’s struggles seem to stem from issues with his qualifying pace, as evidenced by his recent Q2 exit at the F1 2025 Miami GP. Starting from 12th on the grid, Hamilton fought his way to eighth place at the Miami International Autodrome, but the underlying problems persist.

Experts speculate that Hamilton’s challenges could be linked to the evolving nature of the current generation of cars, with theories pointing to issues like rigid suspension and tire management. Alex Brundle, an experienced racer, has delved into the data and pinpointed where Hamilton is losing ground to Leclerc, particularly in the braking phase.

Brundle highlighted Hamilton’s tendency to apply more brake pressure than Leclerc in high-speed corners, causing disruptions in the Ferrari’s performance. This revelation has raised concerns about whether Hamilton can adapt his driving style to match the demands of the new era of Formula 1 racing.

Despite the setbacks, Hamilton remains optimistic about his prospects, acknowledging the similarities in data between himself and Leclerc. While acknowledging the challenges ahead, the seasoned driver is determined to analyze the data and make the necessary adjustments to close the gap with his rival.

As Hamilton grapples with these unexpected hurdles, the racing world watches with bated breath to see if the legendary driver can overcome his shortcomings and reclaim his rightful place at the top of the podium. With each race presenting new challenges and opportunities, Hamilton’s journey towards redemption promises to be a thrilling spectacle for fans and critics alike.
