Lewis Hamilton sidelined as Arthur Leclerc steps in for Ferrari at Abu Dhabi FP1

Ferrari Shakes Things Up: Lewis Hamilton to Be Replaced by Arthur Leclerc in Abu Dhabi FP1!

In a stunning turn of events, Ferrari has officially announced that Lewis Hamilton will not take the track for the first practice session of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Instead, the iconic Scuderia has opted for Arthur Leclerc, the young sibling of racing star Charles Leclerc, to fill in for the seven-time world champion. This decision not only stirs excitement among fans but also marks a repeat of last year’s memorable moment when the Leclerc brothers shared the track during FP1 at Yas Marina.

The reason behind this surprising switch? Ferrari is required by regulations to field a rookie driver in one additional FP1 session, a rule all teams must adhere to. This means that Hamilton, who has been a formidable force throughout his career, will return to the car for the all-important second practice, where the stakes are higher and the performance is scrutinized more intensely.

As the Formula 1 season reaches its thrilling climax, this weekend represents Hamilton’s last opportunity to secure a podium finish with Ferrari in his debut season. So far, the legendary driver has only clinched a Sprint victory and a spot on the podium, leaving fans eager for more. The pressure is on as Hamilton gears up to demonstrate his prowess in the SF-25 during the crucial second practice session.

But that’s not all! In a strategic move, Ferrari has also revealed that Dino Beganovic will take the wheel of the SF-25 for its post-season test next Tuesday, maintaining the current configuration. This rising star, who is part of Ferrari’s development program and currently competes in Formula 2, has made appearances in previous FP1 sessions, solidifying his role as a promising talent for the Scuderia.

With an action-packed weekend ahead, all eyes will be on Hamilton as he strives to leave his mark in Abu Dhabi. Will he rise to the occasion and secure that elusive podium finish? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure: the excitement is palpable as Ferrari prepares for what promises to be an unforgettable grand finale!
