Mercedes currently holds the fourth position as the fastest team on the F1 grid in 2024. The start of the season has been exceptionally tough for the Mercedes F1 team as they find themselves behind McLaren, Ferrari, and Red Bull. However, Lewis Hamilton remains optimistic and is doing his best to maintain a positive outlook.

Looking ahead to the next event in Imola, Hamilton revealed that Mercedes has some exciting developments in store for the W15. The British driver truly believes that the team is heading in the right direction with their 2024 challenger.

In the 2024 Constructors’ Championship, Mercedes has only accumulated a total of 64 points so far. Despite this, the 39-year-old driver has been vocal about the continuous progress made by Mercedes. He also highlighted that the team has several plans to close the gap to McLaren and Ferrari, which could benefit both him and his teammate George Russell.

Hamilton’s positive mindset is shared by his teammate. The other driver is also pleased with the dedication and hard work put in by the Mercedes team to improve the performance of the W15.

During the Miami Grand Prix, the 26-year-old driver managed to secure an eighth-place finish.

Under the current F1 regulations, Mercedes has struggled to produce a competitive car. In the past, they dominated the turbo hybrid era, but now they are determined to regain their former glory. However, with the progress made by teams like Ferrari and McLaren this year, it will be a challenging task for Mercedes to catch up to them. The upcoming event in Imola will provide some insights into Mercedes’ potential for the rest of the season.
