Irmão de Lewis Hamilton admite vender Mercedes C63 dado pelo vencedor da F1 para pagar dívidas fiscais após perdas em apostas.

Brother of Lewis Hamilton, Nicholas Hamilton, shared a glimpse of his struggle with gambling addiction that led him to sell his Mercedes C63. In his newly released book, titled “Now That I Have Your Attention: 7 Lessons for Leading a Life Bigger Than Expected”, Nicholas delves into his personal experiences and the challenges he faced due to the addiction.

Nicholas Hamilton reveals how his gambling problem initially started with a £2 bet on Arsenal, but quickly escalated to involve frequent visits to casinos and other risky behaviors. One particular story he tells is the painful decision to sell the Mercedes C63 that his brother, Lewis Hamilton, had gifted him to pay off his mounting gambling debts.

Throughout his years battling gambling addiction, Nicholas Hamilton admits to feeling a constant sense of discomfort and an inability to trust his family about his addiction. Fortunately, he eventually sought help by reaching out to support lines, which marked a turning point in his journey to overcome his destructive habits.

In addition to his battle against addiction, Nicholas Hamilton also discusses his lifelong struggle with cerebral palsy in his book. He candidly reveals how he once despised his life because of his condition and the psychological battles he had to overcome to become the successful driver and public figure he is today.

Despite his initial desire to be “normal” like everyone else, Nicholas Hamilton has come to accept and embrace the cards he was dealt. He now recognizes that his unique experiences and challenges have shaped him into the person he is today, and he wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.

If you missed it, Nicholas Hamilton’s book offers a raw and introspective look into his journey with addiction and disability, ultimately delivering valuable lessons on leading a fulfilling life beyond social expectations.
