Lewis Hamilton Reveals No Plans to Retire if He Wins Eighth Title with Ferrari

Lewis Hamilton has joined Scuderia Ferrari for the 2025 season, with high hopes of returning to title contention after a couple of challenging years at Mercedes. The seven-time world champion, who came close to winning the 2021 title before losing out to Max Verstappen, has set his sights on clinching an unprecedented eighth world championship with Ferrari.

In a recent interview, Hamilton addressed the possibility of retiring from Formula 1 if he manages to win the eighth title, stating that he has no plans to step away from the sport if that dream becomes a reality. “If I was fortunate enough to win another title, which is obviously what we’re setting out to do, I don’t see myself stopping. I’ve worked with two world championship-winning teams before, and I know what a winning team looks like,” Hamilton said.

The 40-year-old driver is clearly motivated by the challenge of making Ferrari competitive again, and he emphasized that his move to Maranello is driven by his desire to add to his already stellar career.

Hamilton Feels “At Home” with Ferrari

Since his arrival at Ferrari, Hamilton has been enthusiastic about his new environment. He expressed that he feels at home with the Scuderia and that everything feels “natural.” The seven-time champion also shared that he is embracing the Italian culture, even starting lessons in the language to fully integrate with his new team.

“I really feel at home. I know I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. It feels natural, it feels right,” Hamilton noted, further underscoring his excitement about his new chapter with Ferrari.

Despite recent struggles, Hamilton remains as hungry as ever for success in Formula 1. The 2025 season could mark a pivotal moment in his career, as he seeks to return to his championship-winning ways. With Ferrari providing a fresh start, only time will tell if Hamilton can challenge for the title once again, or if the team can create a car capable of competing at the front of the grid.

Ferrari fans will be eagerly watching as Hamilton, alongside teammate Charles Leclerc, strives to bring the team back to the top and potentially fulfill his dream of an eighth world title.
