Lewis Hamilton Praised as an Icon by Hollywood Star
In a star-studded event in New York, seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton received high praise from none other than Hollywood legend Hans Zimmer. The F1 ace, who played a significant role in the production of a new F1 movie set to hit theaters soon, was described as an “inspiration” by the two-time Oscar-winning composer.
Zimmer revealed, “A few years back I met Lewis Hamilton, and we started talking. When this movie came about, I was really starting to talk to him. So much of the inspiration and what I was doing came from my conversations with Lewis. It was like he was always sitting beside me when I was writing.”
The upcoming film, starring big names like Brad Pitt and Javier Bardem, follows the story of a veteran racer teaming up with a young rookie. Despite positive reviews from critics, some drivers, like Carlos Sainz, found certain parts cringeworthy. However, Hamilton himself hailed it as the “best racing movie ever made.”
As the movie gears up for release in the UK on June 25 and in the USA on June 27, Hamilton will shift his focus back to the track. The 40-year-old Mercedes star is determined to clinch his first podium finish in what has been a disappointing season at the upcoming Austrian Grand Prix.
