The beginning of Lewis Hamilton’s last season with Mercedes in Formula 1 is not easy. The driver, who will be with Ferrari in 2025, finished the Japanese GP in a modest ninth place – even behind teammate George Russell.
After Sunday’s race in Suzuka, the seven-time world champion attended the press interviews, as usual. And, at one point, a journalist asked: ‘Are you jealous of Ferrari right now? Because they are fast.’
Without holding back, Hamilton expressed his displeasure: ‘Do you have any better questions?’, he questioned, before leaving without allowing for more answers or questions.
An unusual attitude to see from the British driver, but understandable considering the frustrating start to the season and an implausible question – especially when it is known that his future lies, precisely, with Ferrari. The Scuderia has not missed the podium this year and is the main rival to Red Bull so far.
