Lewis Hamilton’s Struggles at Ferrari Continue to Escalate!
Seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton is facing mounting frustrations at his new team, Ferrari, as he struggles to adapt to their methods. Since joining Ferrari in January, Hamilton has failed to secure a grand prix podium, unlike his teammate Charles Leclerc who has already clinched three podium finishes in 2025. Currently sitting 25 points behind Leclerc in the drivers’ championship, Hamilton finds himself in sixth place after a string of disappointing results.
The challenges with Ferrari’s SF-25 challenger have added to Hamilton’s woes, prompting him to attempt to change the team’s operational approach. Hamilton, who spent 12 seasons with Mercedes before moving to Ferrari, expressed his efforts to challenge the team’s engineers and shake up their traditional ways of working. The Brit stated, “I’m constantly fighting with the engineers, asking them questions. They set things up in a certain way and say ‘we’ve always done it this way.’ And I say to them: ‘What if we tried this instead?'”
Hamilton’s struggle to synchronize with Ferrari is evident as he awaits upgrades for the team without a clear timeline, leaving his hopes for improvement in limbo. The racing icon has also displayed visible frustration over team radio during race weekends, particularly directed at his new race engineer Riccardo Adami and Ferrari’s strategies. Team orders have come into play between Leclerc and Hamilton on multiple occasions this season due to the champion’s lackluster race pace.
Despite consistent top-six finishes, Hamilton knows he needs to deliver more for his new team. Ferrari, aiming to clinch their first F1 championship since 2008, is counting on Hamilton to up his game and contribute significantly to their campaign. Will Hamilton overcome his mounting frustrations and lead Ferrari to glory, or will his struggles persist, casting further doubt on his future with the iconic team?
