Lewis Hamilton Declares 2023 as His Worst F1 Season Ever: A Tale of Frustration and Struggles!

Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time Formula 1 champion, has pulled no punches in his assessment of the 2023 season, labeling it as “the worst season ever” in his illustrious career. Following a tumultuous weekend at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, where he found himself eliminated in the qualifying rounds, Hamilton’s frustrations have reached a boiling point. Starting from a dismal 20th position, he managed to claw his way back to 10th, later elevated to 8th due to the disqualifications of McLaren drivers. But even this modest recovery couldn’t mask the stark reality of his performance and that of the Ferrari team.

In a candid reflection, Hamilton described the race weekend as “terrible,” revealing that despite his relentless efforts, conditions have only worsened throughout the season. “It doesn’t matter how hard I try; it just keeps getting worse,” he lamented. His feelings of despair were palpable as he stated that the minor progress made during the race felt utterly irrelevant, highlighting the glaring lack of competitive edge from his car.

Compounding his struggles were mechanical issues that arose after a collision with Alex Albon, which severely compromised the car’s balance and handling. “I faced many difficulties, especially with braking,” Hamilton explained. “There was no balance—either the front was locking up, or the back was sliding. There was no middle ground.” His grievances didn’t stop there; he characterized the entire experience as “horrendous,” marking yet another disappointing chapter in what has been a challenging season.

On the other side of the garage, Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur attempted to temper Hamilton’s bleak outlook, acknowledging the challenges faced in recent races but also pointing to glimpses of potential seen in earlier competitions in Mexico and Austin. “I understand Hamilton’s frustration,” Vasseur stated, “but we need to analyze our performance together and refocus for the final races of the season.”

As the motorsport world watches closely, the question remains: Can Hamilton and Ferrari turn this ship around before it’s too late? With the season drawing to a close, the pressure is mounting. Will Hamilton find a way to reclaim his glory, or will this be a season to forget? One thing is for sure—the drama is far from over!
