Lewis Hamilton considera sua performance no FP1 e FP2 em Mônaco como o melhor dia na pista.

Lewis Hamilton reached first and second place in the first two practice sessions at the Monaco Grand Prix. The 39-year-old driver showed an impressive performance during FP1 and FP2 on Friday. He clocked the fastest and second fastest times in the respective sessions.

This season, Lewis Hamilton had a difficult start and struggled to find speed and balance in the W15. However, on Friday, Hamilton had a positive outing where he set the fastest lap time in FP1.

Despite significant upgrades to the Imola and Miami circuits, Mercedes has not been particularly successful in achieving grip and balance in their car this season. However, the team remained confident that their efforts would result in good results, which was evident in the performances during FP1 and FP2 in Monaco.

After the practices, Lewis Hamilton expressed his satisfaction with the day’s events. He described it as the best day on track so far, with the car feeling positive and enjoyable to drive. Hamilton also praised the incredible track and good grip he experienced, despite still facing some challenges to overcome.

Moving forward, Hamilton aims to maintain his performance during FP3 and qualifying to gain a significant advantage in the 78-lap race. Mercedes relies on their lead driver to score points and potentially secure their first win of the 2024 season.

Lewis Hamilton acknowledged his poor performance in qualifying compared to his teammate George Russell. Russell has outperformed Hamilton on six occasions this season and has shown more promise in terms of speed on Saturdays.

Hamilton changed his focus to improving his performance throughout the weekend, as being faster in qualifying did not translate into successful results. The seven-time world champion emphasized that the W15’s performance has been mediocre since the beginning of the year.

Approaching the Monaco Grand Prix, Hamilton will seek to take advantage of his familiarity with the streets as a three-time winner in Monte Carlo. He expects tough competition from Ferrari and McLaren, who have performed well this season. Despite the challenges, the upcoming days promise excitement.
