Legal dispute between Haas and Uralkali comes to an end.

In March 2022, the American racing team terminated its agreement with Uralkali, a Russian fertilizer manufacturer, following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Haas, in a statement, revealed that the F1 team may retain the sponsorship payment until March 2022, while refunding the corresponding portion for the period after the agreement’s termination. Haas severed ties with Uralkali simultaneously with the dismissal of Russian driver Nikita Mazepin, whose father, Dmitry Mazepin, is the owner of Uralkali. Dmitry Mazepin, a close associate of Russian President Vladimir Putin, had his son’s driving contract tied to the team’s sponsorship. (Associated Press report)
