Charles Leclerc, the Ferrari driver, has declared with unwavering determination, “There is no chance that I will leave Ferrari.” The Monaco-born racer, known for his fierce competitive spirit, opened up about his commitment to the team and his trust in the Ferrari project during interviews with Monaco and French media outlets over the Monte Carlo weekend.
In a candid conversation with Frederic Ferret published in L’Equipe, Leclerc expressed his disappointment with the challenges faced by Ferrari at the beginning of the season but remained optimistic about their chances in the ongoing championship battle. Referring to the unpredictability of Formula 1, Leclerc recalled how McLaren emerged as the champion despite a strong start by Red Bull last year, fueling his determination to push for the title this season.
Putting an end to any speculations about his future, Leclerc emphatically stated, “Of course not, there is absolutely no possibility. I believe in the project, and I believe in Fred (Vasseur). It is certainly a challenging time, and doubts may arise, but I do not intend to leave Ferrari. I want to win with Ferrari, and I will stay as long as I believe in this project. And I do believe in it.”
Leclerc’s unwavering trust in Team Principal Fred Vasseur was evident throughout the interview, with the driver emphasizing, “I have always said that I have complete trust in Fred, and I truly believe he is the right person to bring Ferrari back to the top. He is the one who can make it win. I have always said this, and I truly hope that together we will succeed in bringing Ferrari back to the forefront.”
As Leclerc continues to showcase his allegiance to Ferrari and confidence in the team’s leadership, the racing world eagerly anticipates his relentless pursuit of victory on the track, fueled by his unwavering belief in the Ferrari dream.
