Charles Leclerc, the Ferrari driver, expressed his disappointment after finishing fourth once again and missing out on a podium position in Bahrain. Despite a valiant effort during the race, Leclerc had to settle for P4, conceding to Lando Norris in the closing stages. The Monegasque driver, who started on the front row, struggled to match the pace of the McLaren, ultimately falling short of a top-three finish.

Ferrari’s decision to start both drivers on medium tires while others opted for soft compounds cost Leclerc positions, with George Russell overtaking him at the beginning. The team’s choice to switch Leclerc to hard tires later in the race raised eyebrows but was defended by the driver post-race.

Leclerc acknowledged the team’s strategy, noting that while he initially considered a one-stop strategy, the late Safety Car deployment prompted a two-stop approach. Despite his best efforts, Leclerc recognized the superior performance of rivals, stating, “They simply have a more complete car for now.”

Reflecting on his race, Leclerc mentioned the challenges faced during the second stint, particularly when battling Russell. The Ferrari driver highlighted the struggle with tire degradation and balance issues but remained hopeful of returning to podium contention in the future.

Leclerc’s determination and resilience were evident throughout the race, but the reality of another fourth-place finish left him unsatisfied. As he strives for better results, Leclerc emphasized the need to push harder and extract more from the Ferrari SF-25 to compete at the front of the pack.
