Charles Leclerc Expresses Frustration Despite Qualifying 4th in Jeddah Grand Prix

In a rollercoaster of emotions, Charles Leclerc finds himself torn between satisfaction and disappointment after securing the fourth spot on the grid for the Jeddah Grand Prix. The Monegasque driver pushed the SF-25 to its limits but still feels the sting of not being able to match the performance of the frontrunners.

Leclerc’s discontent was palpable as he expressed, “I’m not happy. I’m not really content. I finished in fourth place in a qualifying session where the lap was really good, and I gave it my all, but at the moment, the car’s performance is not there.” The Ferrari driver highlighted the challenges he faced, mentioning, “I have a huge oversteer or a huge understeer, but the end result is that I don’t have enough grip to achieve the results that the drivers ahead have.”

Despite feeling comfortable in the car and believing he found the sweet spot that suits his driving style, Leclerc lamented, “We have brought some improvements that, in my opinion, should have helped us, and yet the gap seems to be quite similar.” He also expressed his frustration with the competition, saying, “Unfortunately, I have the impression that the others have taken the same step, so the gap hasn’t changed.”

Leclerc’s mixed feelings of giving his all but still falling short emphasize the intense competition and unforgiving nature of Formula 1. As he gears up for the Grand Prix, all eyes will be on whether he can turn his frustration into fuel for a stellar performance on race day.
