Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time world champion, seems to be facing a tough challenge adapting to the driving style of his teammate, Charles Leclerc, in the Ferrari SF-25. Leclerc’s oversteering technique has been highlighted as a perfect fit for the car by Hamilton himself.

The technical clash between Leclerc’s preference for an oversteering car and those who lean towards understeer has been a recurring theme within the Ferrari team. Hamilton, who is used to a different driving style, has found himself trailing Leclerc in terms of pace in the first four races of the 2025 season.

As the F1 circus gears up for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Hamilton acknowledges the need to build confidence weekend after weekend with the SF-25. He admits that Leclerc’s comfort with the oversteering nature of the car gives him an edge, as he enjoys sliding the rear wheels, creating a visually spectacular driving style.

Hamilton’s struggle to find the right balance and setup with the car is evident, as he mentions experimenting with various adjustments throughout the weekend. The Briton emphasizes the importance of getting acquainted with the track in Jeddah, similar to Monaco and Baku, and the need to adapt his driving style to tackle the unique challenges posed by the circuit.

It is clear that Hamilton is in a learning phase with the SF-25, trying to unlock its full potential while keeping up with the naturally talented Leclerc. As the season progresses, all eyes will be on how Hamilton copes with the demands of the car and if he can match Leclerc’s performance on track.
