Charles Leclerc, the young Ferrari driver, is under immense pressure to step up and lead the charge in improving the struggling Ferrari SF-25. Former F1 team boss Gian Carlo Minardi has called on Leclerc to be more assertive and confident in his approach to enhance the performance of the Ferrari car.

Despite Lewis Hamilton’s recent Sprint pole and victory for Ferrari in China, the team has failed to secure a podium finish in the first three races of the season, with Leclerc’s fourth-place finish in Japan being the team’s best result so far. Leclerc himself expressed concerns about the lack of pace in the Ferrari SF-25, while Hamilton hinted at underperformance within the team.

As the Bahrain Grand Prix looms ahead, Ferrari is still grappling with understanding and optimizing their new car. Team principal Fred Vasseur remains optimistic about improvements, but Leclerc seems less convinced, stating that the car has already shown its full potential.

Recent reports suggest that Ferrari has a new floor upgrade available for the Bahrain Grand Prix, but there are conflicting opinions within the team about its introduction. Vasseur and technical director Loic Serra prefer to stabilize the car’s balance before implementing aerodynamic changes, while the aerodynamicists are in favor of immediate upgrades.

In the midst of these challenges, Minardi has urged Leclerc to take charge and be more proactive in addressing the team’s issues. He believes that Leclerc has a better understanding of the problems facing Ferrari than the team itself, emphasizing the need for Leclerc to be resolute in his efforts to improve the car’s performance.

As Ferrari navigates through a turbulent start to the season, all eyes are on Leclerc to rise to the occasion and lead the team towards success. Will the young driver be able to meet the expectations and drive Ferrari to victory? Only time will tell as the Bahrain Grand Prix approaches.
