Ferrari’s Ambitions in Jeopardy: Charles Leclerc Sounds Alarm Ahead of Final Rounds!

As the Formula 1 season nears its thrilling conclusion, Ferrari’s aspirations for a second-place finish in the constructors’ championship hang by a thread. Team principal Fred Vasseur has made it abundantly clear that clinching this coveted position is the squad’s top priority. However, star driver Charles Leclerc has raised serious doubts about their ability to hold onto it as the season enters its final four races.

Leclerc, the talented Monegasque pilot, has candidly stated that it will be “very, very tough” for Ferrari to maintain their slender lead over a fiercely competitive Mercedes, who lurk just a single point behind. Even more alarming is the resurgence of Red Bull, now breathing down Ferrari’s neck, trailing by a mere 10 points. The stakes couldn’t be higher for the iconic Italian team, which finished as the runner-up last year but now finds itself in a precarious position.

After a promising start to the season, which saw Ferrari in the lead for the second spot behind the unbeatable McLaren, the team faced a setback following the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The momentum shifted dramatically when George Russell clinched victory in Singapore, pushing Ferrari into a worrying spot—27 points adrift of Mercedes and only eight points ahead of a rapidly advancing Red Bull.

Recent strong showings in Austin and Mexico City have momentarily restored Ferrari’s grip on second place. But Leclerc remains skeptical about their chances as the series heads to Brazil, Las Vegas, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi. When grilled by reporters, including those from RacingNews365, about the speed of the SF-25 car and its ability to fend off the competition, Leclerc was frank: “It’s going to be very, very tough.” Reflecting on past races, he noted, “If I look back at the last two weekends, yes. If I look before these two weekends, not really.”

What’s more concerning is that Ferrari is the only one of the top four teams yet to celebrate a victory this season. In fact, it has been a staggering 12 months since the Scuderia last stood atop the podium, a drought that has left fans and analysts alike questioning the team’s trajectory.

Vasseur continues to emphasize that the primary focus should be on defending their second-place standing rather than dreaming of a return to winning glory. Nevertheless, Leclerc insists on a methodical approach, urging the team to focus on each race individually. “We just need to focus race by race and do the perfect execution just like we’ve done in the last two races,” he stated, acknowledging the challenges ahead. “That pays off, obviously, as always, but it’s very difficult to be performing at this level all the time.”

As the tension mounts and the clock ticks down on the season, every single point will matter more than ever. Will Ferrari manage to fend off the relentless pursuit from Mercedes and Red Bull, or will their dreams of securing second place crumble under pressure? The next races will be pivotal, and fans worldwide will be watching closely as the legendary Scuderia battles to keep its ambitions alive.
