LECLERC LIDERA SEGUNDO TREINO DE F1 EM MÔNACO

Charles Leclerc, from Monaco, dominated the second practice session of the Monaco Grand Prix Formula 1, setting an impressive lap time that was nearly two tenths faster than his competitors. Leclerc, who is eager to secure a victory on his home turf, clocked a time of 1:11.278s on soft tires to claim the top spot. Lewis Hamilton, who led the first practice session, finished in second place, trailing Leclerc by 0.188s. Fernando Alonso, hoping for a more competitive performance from Aston Martin, secured third place, just three tenths behind Leclerc. Max Verstappen, despite expressing dissatisfaction with his Red Bull car, managed to improve his position from 11th to fourth. Unfortunately, Verstappen’s left rear tire made contact with the barrier, resulting in damage to his car. Verstappen’s teammate, Sergio Perez, also struggled with the handling of his car and finished in eighth place, eight tenths slower than Leclerc. McLaren’s Lando Norris completed the top five, with Carlos Sainz right behind in sixth. Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll and Williams’ Alex Albon secured seventh and ninth place, respectively, while Mercedes’ George Russell finished in tenth. Red Bull’s Yuki Tsunoda and McLaren’s Oscar Piastri posted the fastest times on medium tires, just outside the top 10. Kevin Magnussen finished in 13th place, followed by Esteban Ocon’s Alpine and the Haas cars. Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo, also on medium tires, finished in 16th. Pierre Gasly and Logan Sargeant trailed their teammates, and Sauber had a disappointing performance, with both their cars being the slowest on the grid. Valtteri Bottas led the Mercedes pack, with Zhou Guanyu right behind.
