Leclerc Declares Ferrari Can’t Compete with McLaren and Red Bull in Mexico Showdown!

Leclerc Dismisses Ferrari’s Title Contender Status: “We Lack Speed!”

In a shocking turn of events, Charles Leclerc, the talented Ferrari driver, has boldly asserted that his team is not a contender in the World Championship race, particularly ahead of the Mexican Grand Prix. Fresh off a commendable podium finish in the United States, Leclerc’s optimism is tempered by a harsh reality: Ferrari simply does not possess the speed to compete with the dominating forces of McLaren and Red Bull.

“We are not the referees of the World Championship,” Leclerc stated emphatically during an interview with Sky. He continued, “We don’t have the pace to play with McLaren and Red Bull. It’s crucial to stay grounded. In Texas, we finished third, but we executed everything flawlessly.” His words reflect a sobering acknowledgment of Ferrari’s current standing in the competitive F1 landscape.

As the team gears up for the crucial practice sessions in Mexico, Leclerc is joined by his longtime friend, Antonio Fuoco, who is stepping in for Lewis Hamilton. This partnership is not just sentimental; it’s a strategic move designed to enhance Ferrari’s performance through the valuable insights Fuoco can provide. “I have a special relationship with Antonio,” Leclerc revealed. “We have been together since the Ferrari Driver Academy and in F2 with Prema in 2017. His role in the simulator is vital, and for young drivers, getting real feedback from the actual car is essential for bridging the gap to virtual work.”

With the Mexican Grand Prix just around the corner, all eyes will be on Leclerc and Ferrari as they confront the harsh realities of their performance. Can they rise to the occasion, or will they continue to find themselves overshadowed by their rivals? One thing is clear: the battle for supremacy in F1 is far from over, but for now, Ferrari must look beyond the podium and focus on reclaiming their speed.
