The Chinese car manufacturer, Leapmotor, will produce electric models at the Stellantis factory in Poland.
According to “Reuters”, the Chinese brand will start by producing the new T03, before the end of June, and for that partially assembled model kits will be sent from China to the Tychy factory in Poland, where the small model will be assembled.
The same source reports that the Stellantis production unit guarantees Leapmotor low costs in the production of the new model, which will allow the 100% electric vehicle to be affordable to a wide range of customers.
With a range of 280 km, the T03 is already being imported to some European markets, including France, with prices around €20,000 euros, and promises to contribute to expanding Stellantis’ offering of low-cost electric vehicles.
It is worth noting that the Stellantis factory in Tychy, Poland, is a historic Fiat facility where several gasoline and hybrid models are produced, from the Fiat 500 to the 600, as well as the Jeep Avenger, and where Alfa Romeo will produce the Milano, a model that will be unveiled in April.
