Leapmotor has revealed new official images of the electric hatchback, Lafa 5, which the company will present at the Munich Motor Show on the 8th of next month.
The 100% electric compact model, aimed at global markets, aims to compete with the VW ID.3, initially known as B05, is a compact hatchback based on the LEAP 3.5 modular architecture, similar to the B10 crossover.
The brand has not yet revealed information about the specifications of the Leapmotor Lafa 5; however, everything indicates that the new electric model will present dimensions identical to those of the VW ID.3, with a length of 4.26 meters, a width of 1.80 m, and a height of 1.55 m, respectively.
As for the powertrain, everything points to the Lafa 5 being aligned with the B10 crossover, that is, a version with a single electric motor of 177 hp and an LFP battery of 56.2 kWh, while the top-of-the-range version will be equipped with a 215 hp electric motor and an LFP battery of 67.1 kWh.
