Leapmotor strengthens its presence in Portugal with the launch of the new B10 REEV Hybrid, an SUV that combines electric propulsion with range-extending technology. The model will hit the market in April, one year after the brand’s entry into the country, and expands the offering that began with the 100% electric B10.
A different hybrid: always electric in driving
The B10 REEV Hybrid stands out for its architecture centered around the electric motor, which is solely responsible for driving the wheels. Unlike conventional hybrids, the 1.5-liter gasoline engine does not directly intervene in propulsion, functioning only as a generator to recharge the battery when necessary.
This system is based on three fundamental principles: the electric motor is always responsible for driving, the extender is not mechanically connected to the wheels, and its function is limited to energy production.
Extended range without compromising the electric experience
Equipped with an 18.8 kWh battery, the model offers up to 86 km of range in fully electric mode. Together with the 50 kW generator and a 50-liter fuel tank, the total range can reach 900 km.
The proposal aims to ensure a quiet and smooth driving experience, with immediate response and without the need for frequent charging, maintaining the essence of an electric vehicle.
Four modes for different usage scenarios
The B10 REEV Hybrid offers four driving modes — EV+, EV, Fuel, and Power+ — that allow the system’s operation to be adapted to the driver’s needs.
The EV and EV+ modes prioritize pure electric driving, while the Fuel and Power+ modes activate the generator to increase range or improve performance in more demanding situations, such as long trips or highway driving.
Technology and connectivity at smartphone level
Inside, the model features an advanced digital environment, with the LEAP OS 4.0 Plus operating system and a Qualcomm 8155 processor. The 14.6-inch central screen provides access to connectivity, entertainment, and vehicle control features.
The system includes compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, both wired and wireless, as well as remote updates (OTA) that introduce continuous improvements.
Among the new features is one-pedal driving, which allows control of acceleration and deceleration through the accelerator, enhancing efficiency and comfort.
Enhanced safety and robust structure
The B10 REEV Hybrid integrates an extensive set of driving assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control and lane centering, with improvements in smoothness and precision.
The body structure has been reinforced, ensuring greater rigidity, and the model includes seven airbags and 17 advanced driver assistance systems.
Space and versatility for everyday life
With a length of 4.53 meters and a wheelbase of 2.73 meters, the SUV offers a spacious and comfortable cabin. The front seats, made of eco-leather, are heated and ventilated, contributing to a premium experience.
The range will be available in two versions — Life and Design — with various options for exterior and interior colors.
A step towards the democratization of electric mobility
The B10 REEV Hybrid has been designed for urban users, families, and customers looking for a gradual transition to electric mobility, without sacrificing autonomy.
With this proposal, Leapmotor aims to make electric technology more accessible, combining efficiency, versatility, and ease of use in a single model.
