Leapmotor has taken another step in its international expansion with the official inauguration of its first European Innovation Center, located in Munich, Germany. The new infrastructure marks a strategic shift for the brand, moving from a product export-focused approach to a global presence also based on design development.
Munich chosen as European innovation base
The center has been established in Schwabing-Freimann, one of the main innovation hubs in the city of Munich, recognized for its concentration of talent in the fields of design and engineering. The choice of this location reflects Leapmotor’s intention to integrate into a dynamic and highly specialized European ecosystem.
This is the brand’s first innovation center outside of China, representing a significant milestone in its internationalization process.
Design as a pillar of the global strategy
The new structure emerges as a space dedicated to the creation and evolution of the brand’s visual identity, grounded in principles such as purity, balance, texture, and warmth, combined with the philosophy of natural technological aesthetics.
Leapmotor aims, through this center, to strengthen collaboration with European specialists and integrate global design and technology trends, deepening its understanding of the expectations of international consumers.
New B03X illustrates the brand’s aesthetic vision
During the inauguration event, Yu Shuyue, head of the Global Design Center at Leapmotor, presented the brand’s design concept, using the new B03X model as a reference.
The vehicle was developed with the aim of establishing a new benchmark in the SUV segment on a global level, combining an aesthetic based on the so-called “scientific and technological natural aesthetic 2.0” with the continuity of the brand’s design DNA.
Global expansion sustained by innovation
The creation of the European Innovation Center is part of a broader strategy for international growth, in which design plays a central role as a link between technology and user experience.
According to Leapmotor, this approach will enable the development of smart electric vehicles with greater global competitiveness, aiming to make innovation and quality more accessible to a wider audience.
