Located in Munich, Leapmotor has inaugurated its first Innovation Center outside of China. The operation of the new facilities represents an important step in the strategy of the Chinese brand, which is moving from the simple export of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles to a more localized approach, with products designed and developed considering the specificities of the European market.
The center will serve as a creative hub for Europe and constitutes a pillar of Leapmotor’s international expansion. The brand aims to align technological culture and values with European innovation, evolving the design and philosophy of its products to meet the specific trends and expectations of consumers in the region.
According to a spokesperson for the brand, “by integrating global concepts and technologies, Leapmotor will deepen its understanding of international trends and consumer expectations, continuously refining its design language to create products with global appeal”. The European Innovation Center reinforces the path of internationalization for the Chinese brand, which is partially owned by the Stellantis consortium.
