The new electric SUV from Leapmotor aimed at the D segment, the C10, has just achieved the highest rating of five stars in another round of tests by Euro NCAP, the leading independent vehicle safety assessment program in Europe.
The European institution awarded the model a score of 89% for adult protection, 85% for child protection, 77% for vulnerable road users, and 76% for driver assistance systems.
This result was aided by the extensive list of driving assistance systems, which includes 17 functions such as automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assistance, blind spot detection, and adaptive cruise control. This system is supported by a centralized electronic and electrical architecture called “Four-Leaf Clover,” a technology fully developed by the brand that combines a single System-on-Chip (SoC) and a single microcontroller unit (MCU) to create a central supercomputing unit. The centralized computing power allows for efficient synergy between active safety systems, enhancing reaction speed and the overall reliability of the vehicle.
Remember that the C-10 is one of the first models from the joint venture between Stellantis and Leapmotor to reach the European market, which aims to accelerate and expand the sales of high-tech affordable products outside of China, benefiting from Stellantis’ well-established commercial presence in international markets.
The fully electric C10 SUV is equipped with a 218 hp electric motor and 320 Nm of torque. The 69.9 kW capacity batteries promise a range of up to 420 km WLTP.
