The B10 is the third model to join Leapmotor’s European catalog, a Chinese brand in which Stellantis holds 20% of the capital – 51% in the case of the partnership created for export markets. It joins the T03 and the C10, competing in the compact SUV segment, which is very important in the Old Continent market, and is available in three versions, all with rear-wheel drive and electric motor (218 hp and 240 Nm) – at least until the arrival of the REEV engine (a system with range extender, classified as a plug-in hybrid, as already seen with the homonymous proposal found in the top-of-the-range C10…).

The three variants of the B10 differ only in the capacity of the LFP battery (56.2 kWh or 67.1 kWh) and the equipment levels (Life Pro, Life Promax, and Design Promax). At the base of the range, starting from €27,600, is the B10 Life Pro, with a 56.2 kWh battery and a range of 361 km in the combined WLTP cycle. In the B10 Life Promax version (from €29,500) and the B10 Design Promax version (from €30,900), the 67.1 kWh battery ensures a range of up to 434 km.

The lower capacity battery accepts fast charging up to 140 kW, while its higher capacity counterpart can receive fast charging up to 168 kW. In all cases, the recovery of stored energy, from 30% to 80%, takes less than 20 minutes. When connected to alternating current, using the maximum allowed power of 11 kW, a full recharge takes 2 hours and 30 minutes in the first case, and 3 hours in the second.

As for consumption and performance, the announced values are also equal or very similar: 0-100 km/h in 8 seconds, maximum speeds of 170 km/h, and average consumption of 17.2 to 17.3 kWh/100 km (the B10 with larger batteries is heavier – 1780 kg versus 1845 kg – and, therefore, although almost marginally, consumes more energy.

Competing with proposals such as BYD Atto 3, Ford Explorer, MGS5 EV, Renault Scenic E-Tech Electric, or Skoda Elroq, among other compact SUVs equipped with 100% electric drivetrains, the B10 has a much more accessible price, and by a very wide margin, which undoubtedly represents a decisive competitive advantage. Furthermore, confirming the rumors, with the start of production in Zaragoza, Spain, still this year, Leapmotor will surely position itself even better in Europe and in Portugal.

The Chinese brand will manufacture a second fully electric model at Stellantis’ Spanish industrial unit: the B05, a compact sedan measuring 4.430 m and five doors, based on the same architecture as the B10, the LEAP 3.5 platform. Also in 2026, the introduction of the B03X, an SUV measuring 4.2 m, competing in segment B, with BYD Atto 2, Citroën C3 Aircross, Fiat 600, Opel Mokka, and Peugeot 2008, among other utility vehicles. Information about this model sold in China under the designation A10 is unknown.

But the price is not the only quality of the B10… The interior space is abundant, the cargo capacity is reasonable (430 to 1700 liters, plus 25 liters in the frunk under the hood), and many cutting-edge technologies are present. The minimalist presentation of the interior brings it closer to the C10, an SUV measuring 4.74 m (starting at €36,785 in Portugal), with virtually no physical controls, as most functions are operated through the central 14.6’’ touchscreen of the infotainment system, along with the 8.8’’ digital instrument panel. In terms of quality (materials and assembly), the Leapmotor does not disappoint expectations for the reference standards in the segment it competes in, and therefore, it more than satisfies.

As standard, three driving modes are available (Comfort, Standard, and Sport), three levels of steering assistance, and also three intensities of energy regeneration during deceleration. There is also an abundance of driver assistance systems, and the fact that all versions come with a panoramic roof, as well as four cameras that ensure a 360º view of the exterior.

In Leapmotor, the owners’ smartphones take on the role of digital key since the vehicle is delivered only with a card that opens and closes the doors. There is, therefore, an app for remote control of various functions. The B10 also received a five-star rating in the EuroNCAP safety tests, and it is also worth noting that the Chinese brand is currently active in more than thirty markets worldwide, representing over 1700 service and sales points. In just ten years, it has delivered more than one million vehicles, while in 2025, it took the first position in the ranking of Chinese start-ups specializing in New Energies (electric, plug-in hybrid, and range extender models).

The B10, before its introduction in Europe, underwent a development program in Italy, at the Stellantis testing circuit in Balocco. Thus, Leapmotor was able to adapt it better to the specifics of driving and the roads of the Old Continent. This fact demonstrates the brand’s commitment to customer satisfaction. The driving experience of the SUV was surprisingly positive: comfortable, predictable, and safe, even though it has light and somewhat uninformative steering – it facilitates city driving, yes, but a different touch was needed for a greater sense of control on winding roads. The suspension is adapted for onboard comfort and rolling comfort. However, the ability to filter out road irregularities has its downside; body roll in corners and during mass transfers – it is never excessive, but it also diminishes the feeling of control.

The B10 has rear-wheel drive, a feature that benefits balance and precision in driving, and more than enough power, as demonstrated by the 0-100 km/h achieved in 8 seconds. However, even with always having energy reserves under the right foot, due to the immediate availability of torque in electric vehicles, this SUV invites a more relaxed and serene use, a condition for driving efficiently and covering more kilometers between battery recharges.

The B10 moves silently, which enhances comfort, and has more than enough electronic supports. Various systems are intrusive, it is true, but it is possible to adjust the sensitivity to individual preferences. However, for the correct use of the vehicle, as is the case with most models with function controls concentrated on the onboard screen, some adaptation time is required. But, all things considered, the Leapmotor does not have the “cannon-price” as its only quality.
