Zinedine Zidane, the official starter, will proudly raise the French flag, signaling the start of the 24-hour race. This highly anticipated event will feature top car manufacturers such as Ferrari, Toyota, Porsche, Cadillac, Peugeot, Alpine, Lamborghini, BMW, and Isotta Fraschini, all competing for the ultimate victory in endurance racing.
Before the official start at 16:00, several traditional rituals take place. The cars line up in a diagonal formation, a helicopter delivers the French flag, and a powerful rendition of the French national anthem, La Marseillaise, echoes through the air as the crowd gathers. Additionally, the Patrouille de France aerial stunt team performs an impressive airshow, heightening the excitement and anticipation.
As the minutes tick by, the tension among the drivers builds. When the race director gives the signal to release the 62 cars, the adrenaline truly kicks in and the competitors embark on an exhausting 24-hour battle.
Before the race begins, the cars go through a warm-up session, where they have one last opportunity to fine-tune their performance on the track. This 15-minute practice session ensures that the cars are fully prepared for the demanding 24-hour adventure ahead.
