LBX Morizo RR a versão desportiva do SUV compacto da Lexus

Lexus has revealed the production version of the LBX Morizo RR, the sportiest version of the new compact SUV, currently only available in the Japanese market.

As the name suggests, it is a very special version with the stamp of Akio Toyota, the president of Toyota and Master Driver, also known as Morizo, which means that it has received a distinctly racing treatment, where the redesigned bumpers stand out with generous-sized air intakes, body-colored wheel arches, reduced ground clearance, and 19” wheels.

However, the biggest highlight is under the hood, in the G16E-GTS unit, the 1.6-liter turbocharged three-cylinder gasoline engine that powers the GR Corolla, with power increased to 305 hp (at 6500 rpm) and producing 400 Nm of torque, which reaches the road through the “E-Four” all-wheel drive system and an “Direct Shift” eight-speed automatic transmission, or a 6-speed manual iMT gearbox.

These numbers allow the LBX Morizo RR to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, although the maximum speed has not been revealed by the Japanese brand.

The first units of the LBX Morizo have already been announced by Lexus and will arrive to Japanese customers in August. For those who want a more exclusive version, a limited edition of only 100 “Bespoke Build” units is available, and as usual in Japan, all units will be assigned by lottery.
