In a shocking turn of events, Jari-Matti Latvala, the renowned Toyota team principal, is set to make a dramatic return to the World Rally Championship scene. After missing out on the Safari Rally in Kenya, Latvala is gearing up to rejoin the action at Rally Italia Sardinia, putting an end to his absence from the WRC service park.

Following his triumph at the European Historic Rally Championship in Spain, Latvala had to sit out of the Safari Rally, which proved to be a challenging experience for the seasoned rally veteran. Admitting his unease at watching the event from home, Latvala expressed his yearning to be back in the midst of the adrenaline-fueled action.

Despite the difficulties of being away from the rally scene, Latvala found solace in having Juha Kankkunen, a four-time world champion, as his capable deputy. Kankkunen’s presence helped alleviate Latvala’s concerns and allowed him to stay connected to the unfolding events on the track.

Looking ahead, Latvala is bracing himself for a busy schedule, with his European Historic commitments coinciding with the upcoming WRC rounds in Spain and Portugal. However, fans can rest assured that Latvala will be keeping a close eye on the team’s performance between his own competitive endeavors.

As Latvala prepares to resume his role as team principal, anticipation is running high for his return to the WRC service park. With his unwavering passion for rallying and a proven track record of success, Latvala’s comeback is sure to inject a new level of excitement and energy into the competition.

Stay tuned as the rally world eagerly awaits the resurgence of Jari-Matti Latvala at Rally Italia Sardinia, where he is poised to make a triumphant return to the heart-pounding world of the World Rally Championship.
