Time is running out for those who have always wanted to own one of the most iconic sports cars in the automotive industry. Honda has confirmed that there are only five units of the Honda Civic Type R available for sale in Portugal, marking the end of an era for a model that has won fans and collectors over the decades.

One of the most desired sports cars in the national market

Since its arrival in the Portuguese market in 2023, the Civic Type R has consistently sold out all units allocated to the country. Now, the brand has managed to secure an extremely limited final batch, making these five units a practically unique opportunity for enthusiasts.

With a final price of 75,000 euros (VAT included), these units are already available for immediate delivery.

Benchmark performance in the segment

The current generation of the Type R is the fastest ever, maintaining the sporting DNA that has defined the model over the years.

Under the hood is a 2.0 Turbo engine with 329 hp and 420 Nm, capable of delivering high-level performance:

  • 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds
  • top speed limited to 275 km/h

Values that place this hot hatch in territory close to much more exclusive models.

Engineering Focused on Pure Driving

Developed under the concept “Ultimate Sports 2.0,” the Civic Type R combines an elegant foundation with a performance-focused approach.

The front-wheel drive remains one of its most distinctive elements, with the model setting new standards by breaking the lap record for front-wheel-drive cars at the Suzuka circuit in Japan.

Recognition in Portugal

The impact of the model on the national market has also been officially recognized. The Civic Type R won the Sports Car of the Year 2024 award at the Seguro Direto Car of the Year/Cristal Steering Wheel Trophy.

A Model Heading Towards Classic Status

With limited production and the current context of the automotive industry — increasingly oriented towards electrification — these last units gain additional value.

For many, this may be the last opportunity to acquire a sports car with these characteristics: high-revving combustion engine, refined front-wheel drive, and a purist driving experience.

More than a car, a collector's item

The scarcity, the competitive history, and the global recognition turn these five units into potential future classics.

For fans of the brand and for driving enthusiasts, the moment is clear: now or never.
