Lando Norris prevê que a Ferrari garanta a pole position no Grande Prêmio da Austrália antes de Max Verstappen.

Ferrari demonstrated exceptional performance at the F1 Albert Park circuit. Lando Norris, Charles Leclerc, and Max Verstappen openly acknowledged the speed and agility of Ferrari in the last two races. The prancing horses also showed impressive speed during the Free Practice sessions at Albert Park. Charles Leclerc even set the fastest lap in FP2, surpassing all competitors. Leclerc now confidently asserts that Verstappen will not be able to secure pole position tomorrow due to Ferrari’s remarkable pace.

Verstappen started the 2024 season with two consecutive victories, establishing his dominance. However, Ferrari’s strong performance, especially with Charles Leclerc leading the FP2 session, suggests that the Monegasque driver could pose a significant threat. Observing the impressive pace of the prancing horses, Lando Norris predicts that Ferrari will clinch pole position during qualifying. Norris also expects Ferrari and Red Bull to outperform McLaren this weekend. Therefore, McLaren’s focus will be on competing with other teams to be the best among the rest.

McLaren is known to have the fastest car in the high-speed sections of Albert Park. Despite this advantage, the MCL38 has struggled to secure podium finishes. Norris revealed the weaknesses of the car and areas where it lacks development to challenge the Red Bulls. According to Norris, the car is not suitable for tight corners, resulting in time loss compared to its rivals. However, the team is aware of this issue and is actively working to address it at the MTC. The drivers remain patient and hopeful that this issue will be resolved in time for the upcoming races.
