Lando Norris: Montoya Slams Emotional Move, Demands Penalty Points

Former Formula 1 ace Juan Pablo Montoya didn’t hold back in his scathing assessment of McLaren’s Lando Norris, labeling the young driver as “way too emotional” and asserting that he should have been slapped with penalty points for his risky maneuver during the Canadian Grand Prix clash with Oscar Piastri. Montoya criticized Norris for his questionable decision-making, highlighting two significant errors that occurred during the race weekend.

During his candid remarks, Montoya pointed out Norris’ audacious attempt to overtake his own teammate, Piastri, which ultimately led to a collision between the two McLaren drivers. The seasoned racing veteran expressed concern over Norris’ behavior on the track, particularly emphasizing the escalating trend of incidents involving the British driver.

Montoya specifically criticized Norris’ performance in qualifying, noting that the situation during Q3 was spiraling out of control. He commented on Norris’ apparent speed advantage over Piastri, highlighting the reckless nature of the attempted overtake that resulted in the controversial incident.

The former F1 driver’s comments have ignited a debate within the racing community, with fans and experts alike weighing in on Norris’ driving style and decision-making capabilities. As the season progresses, all eyes will be on Norris to see if he can temper his emotions and avoid further clashes on the track.
