Lando Norris Fires Back at Critics Over McLaren’s Rear Wing Amid Accusations of Illegality

Formula 1 driver Lando Norris is not holding back in response to accusations surrounding the legality of McLaren’s rear wing design. Amid rumors of a flexing rear wing on the McLaren MCL39, Norris is hitting back at critics and asserting that the team is fully compliant with the regulations set by the FIA.

The FIA is cracking down on flexi wings, with new regulations set to take effect from the Spanish Grand Prix onwards. Despite concerns raised by Red Bull’s Christian Horner about the changes, Norris remains confident in McLaren’s adherence to the rules.

“We’re all fully within the rules. We’re doing a good job. Red Bull have had plenty of time to do the same thing as us and they’re not,” Norris stated emphatically.

Norris also addressed the criticism circulating on social media, dismissing claims about McLaren’s rear wing as unfounded. He pointed out the lack of concrete evidence to support the allegations, highlighting the speculation and lack of substantial proof.

“It is more that they should do a better job rather than keep complaining about things,” Norris remarked, emphasizing McLaren’s focus on performance and compliance with the regulations.

As the debate over flexi wings continues to unfold in the F1 world, Norris remains steadfast in his defense of McLaren’s design choices. With the spotlight on technical regulations intensifying, teams are under increased scrutiny to ensure their cars meet the stringent requirements set by the sport’s governing body.

Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story as F1 teams navigate the complexities of design regulations and competitive pressures on the track.
