Lando Norris confessa que ainda não se ajustou a pilotar o carro de 2024 da McLaren antes do Grande Prêmio da Austrália.

Lando Norris had a rough start to the 2024 F1 season.

McLaren is having a decent start to the 2024 F1 season. During the winter break, the team worked tirelessly to implement the necessary changes to their MCL38. They are certainly seeing better results this season, as last year they faced numerous challenges with the car in the first half of the campaign.

Lando Norris managed to secure several podium positions during the latter part of the season, but the British driver never truly felt comfortable in his MCL60. This season, the team made minimal adjustments to their vehicle. However, the modifications made to the MCL38 still contain elements that do not align with Norris’s preferences.

Speaking to the media about this issue, Norris expressed his expectation that the team will make the necessary changes to the car for him to achieve better results. However, the team is facing certain difficulties in resolving specific issues. Although Norris is not entirely satisfied with the car, he believes McLaren has made significant progress and is heading in the right direction.

In previous seasons and even in the current one, Red Bull has established its dominance. In 2023, Red Bull emerged victorious in both the constructors’ championship and the drivers’ championship. With three championships already secured, their goal is to win the fourth.

Despite all efforts, many teams are struggling to close the gap. Some experts in the paddock are of the opinion that Red Bull should slow down, but Norris, who is a close friend of Verstappen, disagrees.

In his conversation with the media on this matter, he further added that it would be unfair to expect Red Bull and its drivers to slow down. Norris believes that if someone is performing exceptionally well in the championship, it means they are putting in more effort and employing strategic thinking to achieve strong results. The 2024 F1 season still has 22 races remaining.
