Lando Norris Dominates Final Practice at Canadian GP, While Chaos Ensues on the Track!

As the Canadian Grand Prix weekend heats up, McLaren’s Lando Norris showcased his speed by topping the timesheets in the final practice session, leaving Charles Leclerc and George Russell trailing behind. The session was not without its fair share of drama, with Oscar Piastri causing the first red flag after a collision with the infamous Wall of Champions in Montreal.

Norris, who had labeled Friday as their “worst” of the season, redeemed himself with a blistering lap time of 1:11.799 on soft tires. Despite McLaren’s strong showing, their rivals, including Leclerc and Russell, were hot on their heels, setting the stage for an intense qualifying session.

Ferrari’s Leclerc impressed with a late surge on used soft tires, finishing just a hair’s breadth behind Norris. Meanwhile, George Russell and Lewis Hamilton followed closely, ensuring a tight competition at the top. Max Verstappen claimed the fifth spot, albeit with a gap of 0.273s behind Norris.

The session was not without its casualties, with Piastri enduring a setback after hitting the wall early on. Several other drivers, including Nico Hulkenberg and Oliver Berarman, also felt the wrath of the challenging circuit, adding to the chaos on the track.

As the tension mounts heading into qualifying, all eyes are on the drivers to see who will conquer the twists and turns of the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. Stay tuned for more updates as the drama unfolds at the Canadian Grand Prix!
