The MCL38 had an exceptional performance during the Miami Grand Prix. Lando Norris achieved a remarkable drive in the 2024 Miami Grand Prix, securing his first victory in the sport with the help of the MCL38. However, as the team prepares for Imola, Norris acknowledges that they need significant improvements to consistently challenge Ferrari and Red Bull.

The Milton-Keynes-based team has maintained their good form from last season, already securing four wins in Grand Prix races in the current campaign. Ferrari, led by -, has also shown impressive progress. Despite McLaren’s success in Miami, Norris remains grounded and cautious.

The 24-year-old driver emphasizes the importance of upgrades in determining the team’s performance this year. Currently comfortably in third place in the Constructors’ Championship with 124 points, McLaren recognizes the need for consistent improvements to keep up with their rivals.

While Norris acknowledges the need for upgrades, he also expresses satisfaction with the team’s progress. He is confident in the team’s ability to implement upgrades in the challenging 2024 season at an accelerated pace. Norris achieved a dominant victory in the Miami GP, finishing 7 seconds ahead of the current world champion, -.

Since the halfway point of the 2023 F1 season, the McLaren F1 team has been on an upward trajectory. They have consistently introduced new developments and have shown no signs of slowing down. With that in mind, the upcoming events may witness sensational results from Norris and -.
