Lando Norris acredita que pode garantir a vitória no Grande Prêmio do Canadá, apesar de partir em terceiro lugar.

Lando Norris has been exceptionally standing out in the ongoing F1 season. The McLaren driver is confident in his ability to win the Canadian Grand Prix after a strong qualifying session. Norris secured the P3 starting position for the race, thanks to the impressive performance of the McLaren MCL38 at the Gilles Villeneuve circuit on Saturday.

With one victory and four podiums this season, Norris has consistently shown his skills on the track. Despite challenges with grip and speed on the slippery Montreal circuit, he considers the result positive for his team.

It is important to highlight that Norris and his teammate are the only drivers from the same team to have adjacent grid positions for the upcoming race. This gives McLaren an advantage over competitors like Mercedes and Red Bull. Oscar Piastri also achieved an impressive P4 time after a challenging qualifying session.

Both McLaren drivers emphasize the importance of tire management and taking advantage of overtaking opportunities during the 70-lap race. Norris, starting from the second row, aims to capitalize on this advantageous position as he seeks his second win this season.

Piastri acknowledges the unpredictable weather in Montreal and its potential impact on McLaren’s performance during the race. The team has been a strong contender this season, along with Ferrari and Red Bull, and is considered a promising challenger for the championship title.

Despite the increased pressure that comes with starting from the front, McLaren has a lot to lose. However, Piastri encourages the team to embrace the challenge and deliver their best performance.

As we approach the Canadian Grand Prix, McLaren hopes to build upon its successful performances this season. Considering all the factors discussed, Norris and Piastri fans can expect an exciting race in the upcoming events.
