Lancia mostra o novo Ypsilon HF e o Rally4 HF que marca o regresso da marca aos ralis

The new Lancia Ypsilon’s mission is to bring the Italian brand back to global markets and is the first of three models that Lancia will launch in the coming years.

Showing that the brand continues to maintain its sporty DNA, Lancia revealed on Monday, in preview, the Ypsilon HF, a high-performance version of the first car of the brand’s new era, 100% electric and set to be introduced to the market in May 2025.

Powered by a 240 hp electric motor and capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds, the Lancia Ypsilon HF will have a lowered stance, an enlarged body with an aggressive and muscular shape, inspired by the iconic and most radical cars that make up the brand’s history, with form and design serving performance.

The new Ypsilon HF will sport the “HF” logo, a historic signature of high-performance Lancia models, introduced for the first time in 1960 at the Geneva Motor Show.

The “HF” logo then became a distinctive element of the HF Squadra Corse Lancia, a structure founded in 1963 by Cesare Fiorio, along with some passionate Lancia car drivers and owners, having signed many of the brand’s victories. In addition to the new Ypsilon HF, Lancia also announced a “Rally 4” version, which will bring the Italian brand back to the world of rallying, where it remains the most successful rally brand of all time, with 15 World Rally Championships, three World Endurance Championships, a victory in an edition of the 1000 Miglia, two Targa Florio wins, and a Carrera Panamericana win.

The new Lancia Ypsilon Rally4 HF is powered by a 1.2-liter turbo engine, with three cylinders and four valves per cylinder, delivering 212 hp. Equipped with front-wheel drive and a five-speed manual transmission with a mechanical limited-slip differential, the high-performance model represents an ideal solution for all rally enthusiasts, but also a serious competitor for drivers aspiring to victories in the “Rally4” category and in two-wheel drive championships.

“Lancia has always touched people’s hearts through its competitive spirit, represented by the iconic models of its past, which have made it the most successful brand of all time in the world of rallying. That sporting heart beats again today and those same fans will be the new Lancia customers of tomorrow”, said Luca Napolitano, CEO of Lancia.
