“Lancia messed up! New Ypsilon falls into the river and ends up being revealed in the worst possible way.”

Lancia meteu água! Novo Ypsilon cai ao rio e acaba revelado da pior maneira possível

Lancia will be reborn in Europe in 2024, with a new chapter in the manufacturer’s history scheduled to start next February, with the presentation of the new Ypsilon, which the Italian brand has already begun to reveal in “teaser” images, revealing small details of the interior. Until the unusual happened, and a unit presumed to be one of the pre-series test models appeared without camouflage inside a river near the Stellantis factory in Montbéliard, France.

The new Ypsilon, which initially was only supposed to start being shown much closer to the official unveiling date, is now going around the world… hanging from a crane! Authorities have not provided any explanation for the accident, which did not cause any casualties.

The Lancia revival plan is moving at full speed, with the brand becoming present in Europe with a network of 70 new dealerships.

It is already known that there are three criteria for the selection of countries that will be part of the Italian brand’s revival. The first “is the love and passion for Made in Italy products”, with Spain, Portugal, Belgium, and France at the top of the list.

The return of Lancia envisions a range composed of three new models, one every two years, to cover 50% of the market. From 2026, the brand will only launch electric models, and from 2028, it will only sell 100% electric vehicles.
