Lancia Unleashes the Power of its New Rally6 Beast!
Italian automaker Lancia is making waves in the rally car scene with the introduction of its latest creation, the Ypsilon HF Racing. This Rally6 variant joins the Ypsilon HF Rally4 in Lancia’s lineup, offering enthusiasts an exciting new option for hitting the off-road tracks.
The Ypsilon HF Racing shares the same chassis as its Rally4 sibling but comes with a more budget-friendly approach in terms of its mechanical components. Under the hood, a 1.2-liter engine roars with 145bhp, coupled with a five-speed SADEV sequential gearbox and Öhlins dampers for adjustable handling. While the Rally4 boasts a powerful 212bhp output, the Rally6 focuses on simplicity and cost-effectiveness without compromising on performance.
Notably, Lancia becomes the second brand under Stellantis to introduce a Rally6 vehicle, following in the footsteps of the Peugeot 208. The Ypsilon HF Racing also stands out for its affordability, priced at €38,900 before VAT, nearly half the cost of its Rally4 counterpart. Despite the lower price tag, the Rally6 model still features an FIA-homologated roll cage and essential safety components, ensuring drivers can push the limits with peace of mind.
Luca Napolitano, CEO of Lancia, expressed the brand’s commitment to nurturing young talent in motorsport, stating, “Our goal is to make motorsport a genuine opportunity for young people once again—a place where talent can flourish and grow.” With initial orders set to be fulfilled after the summer of 2025, the Ypsilon HF Racing is poised to shake up the rally racing scene with its blend of performance, affordability, and heritage.
Get ready to witness the adrenaline-pumping action as Lancia’s Rally6 beast hits the dirt, embodying the brand’s legacy while paving the way for a new generation of rally enthusiasts to shine on the track.
