Lamborghini Urus Performante: o novo bólide da Polícia italiana para missões especiais

The Italian Police continues to see the number of sports cars in its garage grow, and this time, it has added to the group of special vehicles a Lamborghini Urus Performante, the super SUV from the Sant’Agata Bolognese house, which will be in service with the “Polizia di Stato” for the transportation of organs and special services.

This is the sixth Lamborghini model to receive the colors of the Italian Police, which this time will make use of a Urus equipped with a twin-turbo V8 engine, which delivers 666 hp of power and a maximum torque of 2300 Nm at 4500 rpm, guaranteeing an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, and a top speed of 306 km/h.

This more radical version of the Urus, intended to save lives, is equipped, inside, with several indispensable elements for public security service, including an armored box for weapons; a retractable message screen; and a special compartment in the trunk to store service equipment and a defibrillator for first aid. In addition, it also has a refrigerated space for organ transport, which includes a screen to monitor and record internal temperature.

On the outside, the Centro Stile of the Italian brand has given the model a classic blue and white police paint scheme, with a tricolor stripe, while a bar of blue LED lights has been installed on the roof.

“It is with great pleasure that we maintain the twenty-year cooperation with the Italian State Police. Knowing that our cars are used for public functions and, above all, for operations crucial to saving human lives, makes the whole company proud,” emphasized Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, during the delivery of the new car to the Italian Police.
