Lamborghini e Polícia italiana celebram parceria de duas décadas

Automobili Lamborghini and the Italian law enforcement agency, “Polizia di Stato,” are celebrating two decades of collaboration, which began in 2004 when the Sant’Agata Bolognese brand provided a Lamborghini Gallardo to the police force.

Since then, the partnership has allowed the “Polizia di Stato” to enhance its fleet with a range of super sports cars from the Italian brand, which are used for patrolling and medical emergency services, including the transportation of organs across Italy, where they have completed over 200 missions. In addition, they have also participated in more than 1,500 training and road safety events.

“We are extremely proud to celebrate 20 years of collaboration with the ‘Polizia di Stato,’ an institution that we deeply respect for its daily work protecting the safety of Italian citizens,” said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. “Knowing that our vehicles have supported the police in their road enforcement operations and contributed to saving lives is very rewarding. This cooperation represents the strong bond between Automobili Lamborghini and Italy and its institutions, despite our international perspective.”

Over the two decades of collaboration, Lamborghini has delivered six supercars to the “Polizia di Stato,” each with specific features and advanced technologies, designed to support security and emergency operations, creating a partnership rich in stories and significant events.

The Gallardo 510-4 was the first model, and in four years of service, it covered approximately 140,000 kilometers in patrol operations and urgent medical interventions.

In 2005, the Italian security force received a second unit of the Gallardo, which was delivered for use in the Bologna area. By 2008, the first Gallardos were replaced by the Gallardo LP 560-4, an updated version with superior performance and advanced technology. Featuring a 5.2-liter V10 engine producing 560 hp, permanent all-wheel drive for maximum dynamic stability, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, and a top speed of 325 km/h.

In 2014, Automobili Lamborghini delivered a Huracán LP 610-4 to the “Polizia di Stato,” followed by a second model in 2017. The super sports car features a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine producing 610 hp, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and reaching a top speed of 325 km/h.

The latest vehicle to join the fleet of the Italian law enforcement agency is the Urus Performante, Lamborghini’s SUV equipped with a twin-turbo V8 engine that produces a maximum power of 666 hp and 850 Nm of torque between 2,300 and 4,500 rpm, allowing for acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 306 km/h.

“The 20-year synergy with Automobili Lamborghini reinforces the commitment of the ‘Polizia di Stato’ to carry out a delicate task such as the urgent transport of organs, an activity conducted in close collaboration with the National Transplant Center. This helps to make one of the missions of the ‘Polizia di Stato’ increasingly tangible, that is, being at the service of all citizens”, said the Chief of Police – Director General of Public Security, Vittorio Pisani.
