Kyle Larson will drive the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet full-time in the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season. He previously drove the No. 42 for Chip Ganassi Racing before the team parted ways with the driver in April 2020. Larson is a six-time Cup race winner and qualified for the NASCAR Playoffs in 2016-2019. He won the 2019 NASCAR All-Star Race and the Round of 12 opener at Dover International Speedway, which ended a 75-race winless drought. He earned Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors in 2014 after winning the same award in the Xfinity Series in 2013. Larson has 12 career Xfinity wins and two career wins in the Camping World Truck Series.
