In a thrilling turn of events, the 2026 NASCAR Hall of Fame class has been unveiled, with the prestigious honor going to some of the most iconic figures in the history of the sport. Among the select few chosen by the voting panel are Kurt Busch, Harry Gant, and Ray Hendrick, each leaving an indelible mark on the world of NASCAR.

Kurt Busch, a first-ballot nominee, secured his well-deserved spot in the Hall of Fame in his inaugural year of eligibility. Known for his unparalleled skill behind the wheel of a stock car, Busch’s impressive career boasts 34 Cup wins across various teams and manufacturers. Despite facing a career-ending crash in 2022, Busch’s legacy includes victories in marquee events like the Daytona 500 and the Coke 600.

Harry Gant, the oldest winner in NASCAR Cup Series history, joins Busch in the Hall of Fame class of 2026. With 18 Cup wins to his name, Gant’s dominance behind the wheel of the No. 33 Skoal Bandit car earned him the moniker ‘Mr. September’ for his remarkable success during that time of year. His back-to-back wins at the Southern 500 solidified his status as a legendary figure in the sport.

Ray Hendrick, also known as the original “Mr. Modified,” rounds out the illustrious trio of inductees. A force to be reckoned with on the short track circuit, Hendrick’s unparalleled success includes over 700 wins in Modified and Late Model races, with 20 victories at the historic Martinsville Speedway. His legacy as one of NASCAR’s 50 Best Drivers and 75 Best Drivers cements his rightful place in the Hall of Fame.

The Class of 2026 Induction Ceremony is scheduled to take place on Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, at the NASCAR Hall of Fame and Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. This momentous event will celebrate the enduring legacies of Busch, Gant, and Hendrick, paying tribute to their unparalleled contributions to the world of NASCAR.
