KTM eleva Acosta para equipe principal de MotoGP em 2025.

KTM announces that Pedro Acosta, current GasGas rider and rising star, will be promoted to the official MotoGP team in 2025, with a long-term contract. Acosta has been associated with the Austrian brand since his debut in Moto3 in 2021, where he won the championship, followed by another title in the Moto2 series. His impressive performance in his debut season in MotoGP with the Red Bull GasGas Tech3 team positioned him as KTM’s top rider in the standings, with two wins in six races and a total of 83 points. As a result, KTM secured Acosta’s future by ensuring his transfer to the official team in 2025. Acosta expressed excitement to continue with KTM, stating that being part of the orange team is like coming back home. He also praised KTM’s progress and commitment to improvement, which motivated him to stay with the team in the coming years. Acosta will be partnered with South African rider Brad Binder, while Jack Miller, who has struggled this season, will leave the team. However, there is a possibility that Miller may join GasGas and take Acosta’s current place. Pit Beirer, KTM’s motorsport director, expressed his excitement about Acosta’s talent and unique approach to racing, emphasizing the strong partnership between Acosta and KTM. He also acknowledged the contribution of the KTM GP Academy and Aki Ajo in the development of Acosta’s career. Beirer believes that Acosta has a bright future in MotoGP and looks forward to the next chapter of his career with KTM.
